Counselling for Trauma and Attachment Wounding
Our trauma therapists provide a safe and compassionate space for you to navigate the impact of past traumas and attachment challenges. Through evidence-based therapeutic approaches, we'll work collaboratively to address deep-rooted wounds, foster emotional resilience, and promote healthy attachment patterns. Clarity Direct Neurofeedback is a non-invasive approach that helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system (our rest and digest system), and reduce the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight) response. It helps the brain to get out of stuck patterns and assists with numerous conditions, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD, TBI, and chronic pain. Direct neurofeedback offered in our Maple Ridge counselling office only.
Internal Family Systems Therapy
Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy offers an evidence-based, transformative approach that offers long-lasting relief from symptoms. In IFS Therapy, we delve into the complexity of your inner world, acknowledging and embracing the different parts within you. Rather than suppressing or eliminating these parts, we'll compassionately explore their roles and needs, fostering a harmonious relationship with your inner self. Through this journey of self-discovery, you'll learn to access your innate "Self" - a place of calm, compassion, and self-leadership.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful form of therapy designed to help individuals process traumatic memories, negative beliefs, and deeply held emotional patterns. EMDR can be used to help reduce the intensity of a wide range of symptoms, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is a safe, non-invasive technique that allows the client to access the root of their distress and begin the healing process.
